Accessibility Statement
We want everyone to be able to make and solve word puzzles, so accessibility is a design goal, not an afterthought. Our target is the WCAG 2.2 AA standard.
What we've done
- Every form control has an associated label, and results are announced through polite
aria-liveregions. - All tools can be operated with the keyboard alone, including the interactive Wordle board, which exposes each tile as a labelled button.
- Focus is always visible, with a clear focus outline and a "skip to content" link.
- We avoid conveying meaning by colour alone — found words, statuses, and Wordle tiles also carry text or labels.
- Colour combinations are chosen for sufficient contrast in both light and dark themes.
- Puzzle grids include descriptive labels for screen readers.
- Touch targets are at least 44×44 pixels, and the layout reflows without horizontal scrolling down to small phone screens.
- We respect the "reduce motion" system setting and keep animation minimal.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is never "finished". Some highly visual outputs — such as a filled puzzle grid — are inherently hard to convey without sight; we provide word lists and text results alongside them so the same information is available in another form.
Reporting a problem
If you hit an accessibility barrier, please tell us at ktgseo14@gmail.com (a configurable placeholder address for this deployment) with the page and what went wrong. We treat these reports as priorities.
